The LAS operation "Development of new potentials in viticulture and wine tourism of the Lower Vipava Valley", with the short name "ENOTOUR 2", is a logical continuation of the successful ENOTUR project on the topic of innovative integration for the development of viticulture and wine tourism of the Lower Vipava Valley.
THE KEY PURPOSE of the continuation of the ENOTUR project as a LAS operation "ENOTOUR 2" is to establish the connection of winemakers of the LAS area, the transfer of good practices and field experiences between winemakers and winemakers of the entire LAS area, the continuation of the monitoring of vineyards and the analysis of grapes and wine, and the implementation of demonstration tastings for the brand "Vipavska valley - Terraces Selected" and raising the visibility of the area in the wider region, at the national level, as well as creating a concept and conceptual basis for the Technology Center for Agriculture in Dornberk.
With the proposed project idea, we want to improve the connection between tourism providers, producers of local agricultural products (wine...) and research institutions, which will, through the transfer of knowledge, provide professional support in the improvement and protection of the local mark of origin of products (continuation of the Enotur project). As part of the project, the foundations for joint development, management and marketing of the Gorizia hinterland tourist destination in the field of monotourism will be strengthened. The project supports the development of agritourism through better utilization of natural resources, human resources, local crops and products, development of new tourist products and services, and promotion.
Within the framework of the project, the partners pursue:
- Expanding the membership of the Consortium and recruiting winemakers from the entire area of LAS In the embrace of the sun.
- Continued monitoring of vineyards and analysis of grapes and wine, as well as conducting tastings for the brand 'Vipavska dolina - Terase Izbrano'.
- Transfer of knowledge in the form of presentations and practical workshops on sustainable viticulture, modern technologies and biodiversity conservation.
- Promotion at national and international level.
- Preparation of presentation content with local characteristics for the purpose of organizing information tables at the locations of the LAS area in the embrace of the sun; Branik, Dornberk, Šempas, Vrtojba, Bukovica, Miren.
- Preparation of a proposal for a one-day experience event on the theme "tradition - cuisine - wine" with a train on the route: Šempetera pri Gorica - Prvačina - Dornberk - Branik to Rihemberk Castle and downhill.
- Creation of the concept and conceptual basis for the Technology Center for Agriculture in Dornberk, snapshot of the situation: preparation of contents for the establishment of the Technology Center for Agriculture in Dornberk, contents, project design.
The MAIN GOAL of the project is to preserve natural features, natural values, biodiversity and cultural heritage for the sustainable (tourist) development of the area.
The LAS project promotes the preservation of biodiversity by encouraging the introduction of natural elements such as green belts, covered with natural barriers (e.g. hedges), organic farming, reducing the use of herbicides, etc. will be presented to winegrowers in even more detail at the workshops.
It encourages and creates opportunities (several possible points: in Rihemberk, in Dornberk) for conducting wine tastings from the so-called of 'spontaneous fermentations', where microflora from the vineyard itself is used for fermentation. The continuation of the ENOTOUR 2 project is also aimed at creating the conditions for setting up and a technology center for agriculture, where young potential farmers will be able to acquire professional, practical knowledge of how to use green belts, organic production and less use of herbicides in vineyards, and thus establish new business opportunities in the field of organic farming. farming.
The planning and arrangement of premises, where the main activity will be the provision of expert knowledge in the field of environmentally friendly viticulture and the promotion of ecologically produced wines, will be nicely connected with the new offer / new contents of active leisure time, such as mountain biking, hiking, thematic routes.
