Potar House – A Meeting Point of Heritage, Knowledge and Culture Project

31. 07. 2026

The KVVD Institute is a partner in the project “Potar House – A Meeting Point of Heritage, Knowledge and Culture”, implemented as part of the LAS V objemu sonca 2021–2027 programme, financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

The lead partner of the project is the City Municipality of Nova Gorica, which aims to renovate Potar House in Tabor above Dornberk and transform it into a venue for a variety of cultural, culinary and tourism-related, educational and social activities in this part of the Vipava Valley. The other project partners are the Dornberk Local Community and the Zapisi Association.

The aim of the project is to complete the interior of Potar House, equip the premises and establish its operations. The building was almost completely renovated in 2025 as part of other projects, including the SINGERS' CORNERS – A Dispersed Festival of Choral Singing in the Open Air in the Cross-Border Gorizia Area project, co-financed by the Small Projects Fund of the Interreg Italy–Slovenia programme.

As part of the project, the consortium organized the Festival of Indigenous and Local Wine Varieties of the Vipava Valley on 12 June this year.
