This year's selection for the Mayor's wine MONG 2022 was entrusted to the Vipava Valley Consortium of Winemakers.
On 15 March 2022, an expert evaluation of wines took place at the Danilo Baša Tourist Farm in Dornberk. The competition was attended by 10 winemakers who contributed a total of 31 wine samples. The expert commission evaluated 2 sparkling wines, 18 white and 11 red wine samples.
An expert commission evaluated 19 white wines according to Buxbaum's 20-point method. The first 5 white wines with the highest score participated in the final tasting and the Mayor's final selection.
